A Boy

There was once a young boy.
Of humble beginnings and Happy childhood
Curious of the world playing coy
Making friends in school and neighborhood

Little did he know that life an adventure
The best views have the hardest climbs
To take the scenic route, enjoy the detour.
Utilize the many gifts including mind and limbs,
Soon, shaped and defined by life experiences.
Of many joys and seasonal struggles
Learning to swim with the currents
Now all grown, the boy knows mistakes to be steps.
Living in the past, unnecessary regrets.
Being in the present moment is best.
And life, a series of tests.

  1. I have had an opportunity to read, Juma The Dreamer. Thank you for this wonderful and inspiring children’s book full of lessons that set a foundation of hope and self belief.
